CoNuSS-2008 GENERAL INFORMATION

   
DATE AND VENUE
Conference will be held from Monday, September 22, to Thursday, September 25, 2008, at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, 15 Resavska Street, Belgrade, Serbia (September 22-24, 2008) and Vinca Institute of Nuclear sciences (September 25, 2008).

CONFERENCE LANGUAGE
The official language of the Conference is English. No simultaneous translation shall be provided.

SCIENTIFIC SESSIONS
The scientific sessions will be held in the conference hall (oral presentations) and in the entrance hall (posters). Personal computer with video beam for Power Point presentations will be available.
The sessions will focus on the topics of current interest given in the announcement. Oral presentations of invited and selected speakers will present general aspects of the Conference. Due to limited time and great interest, other accepted contributions will be presented as posters.

POSTERS
Poster Sessions will run for four full days. Authors are kindly requested to put up their posters on Monday (September 22, 2008) before 9:30 and to be present by their posters during the oral sessions’ breaks.
Poster space 80 x 120 cm will be provided including push pins/duct tape to affix the material. If authors require additional space for their posters, that should be notified well in advance.
Poster review and discussion will be held on Thursday (September 25, 2008) at 14:00. All posters should be removed at the conclusion of the third day (Wednesday, 24, 2008, at 17:30).

ROUND TABLES
During the Conference, the following round tables will be organized:

RT1: Biomedical Engineering and Medical Physics (September 23, 2008)
RT2: Technical, Administrative and Regulatory Issues related to SNF (September 24, 2008)
RT3: Experiences in Preparation and Implementation of Decommissioning of Nuclear Facilities (September 24, 2008)
RT4: Material and Waste Management in SNF and Decommissioning Related Activities (September 24, 2008)

CONFERENCE OFFICE
Participants’ registration, information and cashier desks, boards for messages and announcements, etc, will be located in the entrance hall of Chamber of Commerce, except on Sunday, September 21, when it will be placed in Hotel Park.

BOOK OF ABSTRACTS
The Book of Abstracts will be published and included in the conference materials for the participants.

PROCEEDINGS
The Proceedings, including full-length papers of both oral and poster presen­tations, shall be published and mailed after the conference to each registered participant at no additional cost. Others may purchase the Proceedings at 100 € cost.

COPIES
The distribution of papers can be done upon the author’s request during the Conference. Secretariat may help with distribution if needed.

- Welcome Reception at the Belgrade Mayor City Hall (September 22, 2008, 20:00h)
- Conference Dinner (September 24, 2008, 20:00h)
- Visit to Vinča Archaeological site (September 25, 2008, 12:00h)

ACCOMPANYING GUESTS PROGRAM
Accompanying guests program includes City Tour – visits to some of the cultural and historical institutions, and facilities for cultural and artistic programs the city of Belgrade has to offer.

Working hours for local banks, post-offices and travel agencies: 9:00  h to 19:00  h

LOCAL CURRENCY
Serbian currency is 1 RSD (1 EUR ~ 80 RSD). Exact information on daily exchange rates can be found on NATIONAL BANK OF SERBIA website.

WEATHER
Average temperature at the end of September in Belgrade is 18 oC
